Queen to undertake Walkabout during royal tour of Australia

Two Knights Die in Adelaide

Two leading South Australian citizens, Sir William Mitchell and Brigadier-General Sir Raymond Lene, died in Adelaide. Sir William Mitchell, 101, was vice-chancellor of the University of Adelaide for 26 years and chancellor for one year, knighted in 1927. Sir Raymond Lene, former Commissioner of Police from 1920 for a 24 year term, died at Repatriation Hospital Springbank. knighted in 1948 and a famed Australian soldier.
