Teachers Federation finds crowding and staff shortages in ACT schools
Two surveys by the NSW Teachers Federation reveal overcrowded Ween Valley primary schools and a lack of qualified staff in Canberra high schools. NSW to legisl ate against obscene publications
Sydney Thursday the State Government will bring down new obscene and indecent publications legislation in the August session. The Obscene and Indecent Publications Amendment Bill aims to ratify censorship as a Commonwealth-State function, shift offences from magistrates to juries, and curb smut peddling to those over 16.
