Wool Levy May Be Quadrupled
Australian woolgrowers face a fourfold levy rise to fund the International Wool Secretariat promotion plan. The Wool Board marketing committee will also study a re use prize scheme within the auction system. Sir William Gunn led the board announcement naming committee members and a future external adviser. The plan seeks about 24 percent of annual woolclip value from Australia, South Africa, and New Zealand to cover global promotion and development.
