Residential college for NSW university project in Canberra
A new residential college for the NSW university, designed by Taranto Wallace and Associates, is under construction at Fyshwick. Mainline Constructions Ply will build eight and nine student units on three floors, with common rooms, dining hall, library, and amenities for 219 residents. The ground floor includes a 240-seat dining hall, servery, and washing facilities, with upper floors housing 70 rooms per level around internal courts, plus staff offices and a sky balcony system. The project will employ about 30 people and features a reinforced concrete frame, weatherproof colonnade, and a 72 inch diameter drainage system.
