Canberra Winter Youth Festival aims to boost young performers
Young Australians gather in Canberra for a four day festival of concert, ballet, opera and drama staged by youth. Dr Christopher Nicolls organized the event with support from Sir Michael Tippett, Peggy van Praagh and institutions including the NSW State Conservatorium and Australian Ballet School. Organisers aim for an annual international reach and have raised funds from the Arte Council, Canberra Theatre Trust and J. A. Young.
