Canberra Hospital eyes ACT nursing education diploma
Canberra authorities discuss Canberra College of Advanced Education conducting a diploma course in nursing education. Presently Canberra Hospital staff attend a 12 month NSW College of Nursing program covering basic sciences and social sciences. Matron Mrs M Guy notes much course material exists locally and a ACT course would be cheaper and more convenient. A proposal for an undergraduate nursing course for 1972 awaits Australian Commission on Advanced Education approval.
