Youth’s Threats by Letters in Richmond Case
Ronald Bruce Hayes aged 18 a labourer was remanded at the preliminary court today charged with sending a letter to the Rev Cumming Tong on June 2 demanding 100 pounds with menacing language and without reasonable cause. A remand was also granted on a similar charge for demanding 22 pounds from W Head of Kurrajong.

Milk trader proposes depot to cut dairy costs
The proprietor from Manuka testified he bought milk at a farm resale and retailed it at 1d per quart before the arrangement ended. He claimed farm milk was higher quality than delivered milk and urged the society to stock depot milk at distributor prices to lower costs for retailers.
