No trace of missing N G ship Muniara
Port Moresby marine superintendent Captain G A Hawley said hope for Muniara survivors was nearly gone seven days after the 50 ton vessel with 14 crew disappeared. An air search of 1 000 square miles failed to find the ship, and shore patrols would search while only one vessel remained on duty. Oil drums were later sighted along the Papuan coast, not a ship.
