Man fined for possession of suspected stolen goods
A 20 year old Canberra man, Sidney Swan of Wentworth Avenue Kingston, was fined £10 in the Queanbeyan Court of Petty Sessions after being found in possession of goods believed stolen. Swan pleaded not guilty and defended himself, with police stating Swan offered to buy two new car tubes for 10 shillings from a man at Hotel Kingston.
