Canberra to plan Regal Theatre in private $140,000 project

Delegates from Canberra cultural bodies discussed establishing a dedicated cultural centre in Canberra. The plan envisions a Regal Theatre at the corner of Canberra Avenue and Main Street Kingston with a 1300 seating capacity, including a restaurant and coffee shop, costing about 140000. Feared Lamb Losses Amid Wet Winter Conditions

Eressers of the Agriculture and Bick Section of the Interior reported yesterday that heavy lamb losses may occur due to feed shortages. Six killed as result of plane crash at RAF base

A collision at Tengah airbase involved a fire engine and a truck, killing six. Pilot Flying Officer John Dennis Lincon, 21, of Torquay England, died. five others were injured. About 500 gallons of kerosene burned, creating a fierce inferno. An inquiry will determine the deaths and cause of the accident.
