Indian Premier Nehru told Parliament he rejects reorganizing the United Nations or replacing the Secretary General Dag Hammarskjold. He warned raising the issue now would hinder urgent Congo and disarmament problems. He urged addressing UN reform separately.
Congolese leaders in Leopoldville plan to meet amid pro Lumumba troop advances from Stanleyville. UN warns against attacks on its personnel as violence erupts, with a Belgian killed and Belgian properties placed under sequestration in the United Arab Republic.
