Prime Minister Menzies announced an increase of £4.9 million for home-building this financial year. The War Service Homes vote would rise by £2.5 million, bringing total funding to £37.5 million, with the Loan Council also boosting the Commonwealth State Housing Agreement by £2.4 million.
