Novice sheep dog trial results led by C Moore and A Bolton with open maiden scores for H Lawton. Superfine, medium, strong and crossbred wool sections listed with Southwell and Cavanagh among top fleece awardees. Merino fine and medium wool classes also noted with judges Masur Glasscock and McCling.
Queanbeyan district retains the Canberra Times Shield in the District Exhibit competition sponsored by the Federal Capital Territory and Association. The judge praised the display for high standard in staging and variety though noting room for improvement in butter, bacon, and vegetable sections.
