More than expected buyers attended the first day of the Lake George Mines Pty. Ltd. asset auction at Captain's Flat. The company halted production last March and is selling machinery, buildings, electrical gear, and other assets with an expected realisation of £100,000 to £150,000. The 429 lots sold included workshop equipment and club items. larger gear was disappointing but smaller lots fared better. The sale was led by Geell Gray and Co. The event was projected to continue to Friday.
