Hospital Fees Case At Canberra Hospital
Cecil Arthur Tantau of Queanbeyan was ordered to pay 11/1 and 6/6 costs for X-ray treatment at Canberra Hospital on July 15. William Henry Briarwood, Canberra, authorized under the Public Health Ordinance to sue for recovery, was represented by K C Waugh. Dr L W Nott testified the X-ray was administered and, to his knowledge, paid. The magistrate ordered £1/1/- plus costs.

John Eric Blomfield of 53 Causeway pleaded guilty at Canberra Court to driving a motor lorry on a public street without a license on November 19. He was fined 20 shillings with 8 shillings 6d costs and sentenced to three days in prison with hard labour in default.
