Cairns rejects tax allowance plea
SYDNEY Friday the Federal Treasurer Dr Cairns rejected a request to restore the 400 per child taxation deductions limit for education expenses. He agreed the reduction to 150 caused injustices and would consider an alternative submission on education expenses to be sent to him soon by NSW Opposition Leader Mr Wran.
