Captain Eugene Cernan and Dr Jack Schmitt completed a seven hour lunar excursion in Taurus Littrow with one slip in powdery dust. They collected rocks while orbiting commander Ronald Evans overhead. mission control trimmed events but the EVA ran 7 hours 18 minutes from depressurisation to cabin repressurisation. Cernan planted first step at 3:00 pm GMT and sung as Schmitt marveled at the geologist’s paradise.
