Sydney Thursday plan to use prison labour to clear timber in Burragorang Valley has been abandoned after union pressure. The Justice Minister Mr Downing said unions assured suitable labour was available and the supply was undertaken by the Water Board. Some prisoners had already been housed at Burragorang guest house in readiness for the project.
