The Fund Custodians group of Mutual Funds declared an interim dividend in its first interim report. Increment Fund Inc. shares rose from 4/8 to 4/10, Balanced Fund Inc. from 4/8 to 4/9, with profits expected to grow. A dividend of 8/4 per 100 shares, or one penny per share, was announced for shareholders on November 23.
Sydney Stock Exchange turnover rose to 598000 shares while the week’s trading slowed with a 0.38 point weekly fall in the share price index. BHF edged up to 1s, Bank of NSW rose to 2s 6d, and many mining and industrial issues advanced or declined amid small price moves and broad steadiness.
The Alliance Holdings Limited debenture and deposit note issue of £1,000,000 was fully subscribed within 30 days after opening on November 7. Subscriptions for an additional £1,000,000 would be accepted. Deposit notes drew £700,000 of the total, with most money accepted for longer term currencies, said managing director J. H. Partridge.
