In Tay Ninh province near the Cambodian border two enemy battalions, possibly around 1,000 men, were involved. US forces reported four captured bunkers and a relay station housing equipment used to guide allied aircraft, with ongoing shelling of nearby airfields and confrontations at Katum camp. Australian troops also began guarding the provincial capital as heavy artillery rained on surrounding countryside.
