JERUSALEM Monday AAP Reuters reports the Israeli government will press for a diplomatic solution to release the El Al Boeing 707 hijacked by Arab nationalists since July 23. The hijacking occurred en route from Rome to Tel Aviv with Ismaeli crew and passengers still held as criticism mounts against UN Secretary General U Thant for visiting Algeria during the standoff.
