Melbourne reports that six pages cover a crash rescue. A Hawker Demon force drops food and water to three air crew members in a wrecked Dragon Rapide while a land party races 130 miles to reach them before dusk. The undercarriage is missing and a wing broken. one crewman wears a bandage.
The Interior Minister T Paterson said Parliament will consider a redistribution of Victorian seats next month. A new seat may be named Deakin in honor of former PM Alfred Deakin, replacing Mernda. The plan splits Victoria into metropolitan and ten rural seats with elector counts between 57,405 and 48,337, affecting party prospects in Batman and Bullarat.
The Australian cruisers Australia and Sydney will commemorate the 21st anniversary of Anzac Day with a dawn ceremony at Kilia Liman near Gallipoli.
