Tractor case in Innisfail over promissory note
In Innisfail magistrate court William Charles Ernst sued C Musvie for 114 pounds on a July 20 1929 promissory note tied to the sale of a Rumley oil tractor. The defendant contended lack of consideration and that the tractor was misrepresented. Evidence showed prior demonstration and a seven month occupancy before the note fell due, with hiring agreement and related disclosures debated. Trial adjourned after lengthy testimony.
