A messy OCR style page lists approved valuers and probate dates, vacant property, dwelling lots, allotments, and prices across multiple areas. It mentions Anderson Street, Waterloo Park, Monton, Innisfail area, and Norman Park with various prices, rooms, furniture, and delivery services. It includes references to rental, sale, and pickup options along with incomplete contact details.
A garbled report describes fear, chaos, and refugee camps in Punjab with mockery of colonial rule. It mentions mobs, calls to Bring back the British Raj, depots in Lahore, and public unrest alongside references to a Ford V8 sale and a bank ledger note.
A jeweller testified that diamonds were smuggled into Australia from the Netherlands East Indies via sea and air routes. He cited Dutch planes between Java and Australia and Palestine as centers for diamond cutting, with a large illicit market and price rises. He noted a 400 percent postwar diamond price surge and a battered market for jewelry in shops after Americans departed.
A world traveller in Brisbane cites Queensland hotels as poor value with damp beds, dirt, and lack of facilities. He recalls touring the North Coast where a drunk lay on a verandah, unregistered guests, unmade beds, and dirty sheets were reported.
A damaged OCR fragment provides limited readable items including names and numbers. The text is unclear and lacks coherent context or a complete event, making precise attribution difficult.
