Formation stone laid for South Fort School pew buildings
Lord Forster unveiled the mercurial stone and first window at a ceremony outside St Athens Chapel. The gathering, including local soldiers, heard a history of the school from the headmaster and saw the foundation stone laid amid vows of community support. Funds were projected to cost 40,000 with construction slated to progress over years.
