Cairns Ambulance Centre holds monthly meeting with plans

The Cairns Centre of the QC Ambulance Brigade met presided by Mr F W iy. Attendees included D Turner C Keble J G Wilks J F Hayes F Currie and Supt M J Hogan. Reports noted monthly tasks, payments from Hospital and football league funds, and preparations for October Jubilee celebrations and upcoming entertainments at Stratford and Freehwater.

Presentation. Mr Sivyer's Departure at Maize Pool Offices

At Atherton on October 19 the Maize Board staff gathered at the Maize Pool Offices to bid farewell to Mr Sivyer the accountant now moving to the Butter Company secretaryship. J Methermott and other staff praised his work and character saying he would be missed and that the board had been lucky to have him. Mr Sivyer thanked colleagues for support and recalled the team’s trojan spirit during hard times.
