Dawn of Cairns Aquatic Club’s Fearless Sharpie
A raceboat tale from Cairns recounts the Fearless, a sharpie pulled by Prudence, built at Lyons Saweoll. The crew included W Barnard, K Olsen, T Menneer, W Ha, and R Biard, with Jack Lyons later driving Fearless in several races and earning trophies before a summer accident on the river challenged the crew’s resolve.
