Versatile writer MacDonell and his spy thriller The Crew of the Anaconda
A review praises ALG MacDonell as a versatile writer with wit and invention. The Crew of the Anaconda stars Denis Waller, an Irish American crook, who travels from Europe in 1939 as South America lingers behind. It’s a fast moving spy story with clever irony, featuring a British intelligence head amid leaks and a chase, with touches of poetic prose quoted to show the author’s literary leanings.
