Atherton Chamber Holds Yearly Meeting In Secretary's Office
The Atherton Chamber of Commerce met in the Secretary's office Monday night with strong attendance. President Fred L Hardgrave led a review of a year of active public work including soldier settlement, Petty Sessions district status, Flora Reserve protection, a bacon factory push, Post Office accommodation, and road and rail topics. The president and members praised past efforts, noted apathy from some businesses, and elected officers with Mr Hardgrave reelected, Mr Currie stepping down after twelve years as secretary and being made vice president.
