A fragmented advertisement from Qoprrs Limited Timber Exporters General Agents lists land parcels between Barron and Double Island in Cairns, with mentions of timber, residential allotments, and various building supplies. It promotes cheap rates on frontage property on Scott Street and nearby areas, noting features like trees, water, and prep for development, alongside trading in pipes, cement, and hardware.
A February 1921 journal excerpt details railway service easing to Mooliba, timings and fares, with a March meeting announced. It covers mining prospects around the Normandy field, ore assays, and plans for flotation of a company to tap a new gold field near Proserpine, plus notes on local rail delays and port logistics. The report references Arthur Clarke, the Cairns mine owner, and mentions the Buy Hughes property holdings and surface ore indications.
Local items cover carnival plans, auctions, and hotel concerns. Notices include a carnival program in Mareeba, sale of central residence, and a call for public inspection of premises. Also featured are council matters, a death in Mareeba, and notes on weather and local society events.
The notice notes a Holy Communion service at 7 a.m. on March 2 in Kurawla Chore with England referenced and Evewona present. The fragmented text identifies a religious observance and a time but lacks clear date validation or location consistency.
