Mrs Barton Addresses WCTU Emancipation Talk in Cairns
Friday afternoon Cairns hosted Mrs Barton for an emancipation themed WCTU address. Guests included Mrs Helen Harton and Mrs Alex Murray with international references to leaders from Scotland Belgium France and England. The talk cited historical battles against alcohol and urged wartime prohibition while noting supportive actions by Red Cross and temperance reform.
