Maize Board Month Meeting Details and New Season Sales
The Maize Board held its May meeting at Golden Grove Office to approve a Finance Committee recommendation for payment of £13 702 2 3 and a further advance of £1 per ton for mail delivery plus trading accounts £49 12 10. The board discussed forward sales of 1 200 tons at 13/5 per ton and expect 1 000 tons of maize in June. Elevators and conveyors were tendered with Melntyre Sydney chosen. Tolga installations were halted. The board outlined handling rules for new crop delivery and quality standards, and agreed to review samples May 24.
