Pension branch meeting contends with pricing and meat quality
The Callmns Pension branch met on July 9 with sparse attendance. Letters from Mr HA Brice MAR and Mir FLA Adair MLA discussed pension issues, including fare concessions, ministerial representations, and proposed meat product analyses by Mr Frank Gerrard. Gerrard reported 41 packs examined with most stewed beef of good to excellent quality, few poor, while some cans showed over processing and color changes. A picnic event was planned for September and a committee was formed to organize it, with notices to pensioners and friends to register.
