Cairns Shire Council Debates Camp Lease Objections
Cairns Shire Council addressed objections from the Sturts Cove Progress Association against leases for Douglas Pitt and Koiki at Second Beach. The association urged moving the camp away from white holiday areas citing health and nuisance concerns. The council debated lease terms and possible revocation if conditions worsened, and approved a motion to inform the Lands Department.
