Droughts and Rainfall Trends Blight Macunda Dow Pastoral Area
Reporting from March 1925 near Archervale and Winton, stock and pasture conditions are poor as droughts reduce flocks. Rainfall over 18 years averaged 13 inches 76 points at Mayhair Bistion, dropping to seven inches in 1423 with scant rain this year. At Macunda Dow, about 14,000 sheep depastured but only 400 muster possible. Archervale, owned by C and HM Kennedy, shows similar declines.
