Shand Drives Bacon Factory Project Amid Pigs Piled Up
The Bibouhra Meatao manager travels 64 miles to meet suppliers and secure funds for a bacon factory set to treat 150 pigs daily by August. Cement shortages and scarce iron delay roofing but insulation and concrete work progress, with power, water, and cleanliness up to date. The firm remains committed to delivering on its bargain despite shipping strikes and contractor challenges. The piece ends with a note urging hinterland pig owners to consider trapping and selling wild pigs for cash.
