The meeting of the Cavens and Innisfail Relief Fund committee was chaired by the Mayor Alderman Draper. Attendees included P. Pease J. Fulton Town Clerk A Wilkinson Senator Crawford Bamford M.H.R. A financial report showed receipts and expenditures for donations, allowances for lodgings and rations, repairs, and printing. The Mayor noted a £25 cheque received for Innisfail relief and discussed government aid and state versus commonwealth roles in disaster relief.
