Cairns Show Committee Plans and Membership Growth
At the Atherton district meeting of the Cairns Show Committee, officials reported healthy attendance and a push to rebuild interest. A letter from the Merper River Model Read addressed the forthcoming bend contest, while plans for the Cairns Show Prize included silver and bronze medals for top collections. The group approved accounts totaling £4 2s 8d and discussed expanding membership and an adjudicator role for the event. The show dates were set for September 14 and 15, with minor matters resolved and thanks given to the president.
