A follow report dated 1918 from St Marys Oaktown outlines a boarders report for the year. It notes a 53 student enrolment and highlights successes across branches by the boarders, presenting the year as a satisfying close to the scholastic term.
The damaged text expresses gratitude to God for an acceptable year and praises the choice of St. tding school. It mentions boarders and a long period of study, but the full meaning is unclear due to missing words and garbled phrasing.
The document records prize awards and honors for 1918 from Sydney college and associated institutes. It lists Misses N Estrez, E Lobie, M OL Chines, and others receiving diplomas, gold and silver medals in subjects including English, Christian doctrine, music, and shorthand. It praises teachers and the headmaster for high standards and notes future opportunities and scholarships won by several contestants.
A list of winners and high scorers in shorthand and book keeping from the school terms includes names such as D Gielis F Campbell A Ballantyne P Vollenweider and L Taylor. Seniors achieve marks from 81 to 98 percent with notes on diploma shorthand intermediate and elementary levels and the school reopens January 27.
