Dinkum Dodds DSM Remains Noted Camp Figure
Corporal Norman Campbell recounts the notorious Dinkum Dodds, a northern migrant from Atherton scrub who earned the DSM after bold acts and rebellion in a camp. Dodds defied discipline, slunk through lines, sketched escape plans, and finally returned to camp amid a tense transport moment. The tale weighs his rough path to front service and enduring nickname.
