Local notices and letters from West Cairns readers
A mixed page of community notes lists travels and dealings of residents, job postings, and personal visits. It mentions Mr and Mrs W McCarthy leaving Cooma, visits by Mrs Wilkinson to Cairns, and Mr W Groom’s severance from Maryborough Chronicle. It also reports the RAF officer Lieut E C Hocking killed in action, Sister M E Chataway and Corporal S D E Chataway returning home, and reflections on immigration and the White Australia policy attributed to RW Holloway of West Cairns.
