Deputations Press for Beatrice School and Falls Plan
Delegations met Hon W Ne Gillies at Beatrice on November 16 seeking government support to keep the local school running and to erect a 12 by 12 dwelling for the married teacher if timber and tradesmen are provided. They urged completion of the school fence and clearing of land, pushing for road works, timber sale, and park development to attract tourism and support rural schooling.
