Ravenshoe Notes Describe Fire Damage and Concert Fund Night
Ravenshoe reports a country district fire causing extensive grass loss despite firefighters from Tavenshoe and nearby farms. A Friday evening junior Red Cross concert at the School of Art drew about £90 in takings plus £100 promised by the children and actors, aiding a good fund. The program featured many local performers, artfully staged, with thanks to Milligan and Birmingham for training. Post concert dancing, updates on staff movements, and water supply discussions closed the week.
