Australia’s Year in Trade Reflections on Imports and Exports
A Canberra- sourced economic summary reports Australia’s trade for the year ending June, detailing motor vehicle imports valued around £73 million and a broad range of exports. It notes increases in US, Japan, Germany, India, and Britain demand, while highlighting declines in some European markets and a mixed performance across commodities, machinery, textiles, and meat. The piece emphasizes a favorable import rise tied to machinery and petroleum equipment and an overall widening trade balance, with regional shifts including North America and Canada.
