Lords Debate Naval Shipbuilding Amid Warnings
In the Lords Lord fel bore urged the government to speed up shipbuilding citing Asquith and Churchill. He warned a 1914-like year would follow if margins held and Malaya New Zealand would be sole capital ships in the Mediterranean while Australia would be the Empire’s only super-Dreadnought elsewhere. He accused ministers of neglecting dominion ships and leaving the navy short of a squadron.
