Readable fragments describe a local item with names and places partially visible. The text hints at a mapping or listing item labeled with numbers and a paired phrase. Due to fragmentation, no clear event or outcome is discernible.
The report covers Digs growing forward amid sales and a Mass Purchase Scheme, meatworks scaling back operations, and cattle supplies anticipated around 250 head. It notes Mareeba hospital leave, local dances organized by community groups, and residents such as Marcus Caxton and A Costin connected to Mareeba events.
A detailed notice outlines working clothes coupon rates, exemptions, and conditions for industrial wear. It lists permissible and restricted garments, employer supplied clothing, and special permits for purchase under award or industry practice. The document references asbestos, gas masks, boots, aprons, and protective overalls among exempt and restricted items.

It details uniforms and fabrics allowed, eligible employees, and procedures for issuing, surrendering, and accounting for coupons. The rules govern employer provision, special cases, and compliance with the Deputy Director of Rationing.
The readable bits describe a bystander scene with fragmented phrases and uncertain names. Key terms appear as a jumble including references to a first person and a rest, a pole, and scattered foreign words. The text resembles an OCR error from a historic page with no clear events or dates.

It notes a high share of draftees are not skilled workers and discusses economic strain. The union reportedly plans to challenge the policy before the Australian Council of Trade Unions.
