No Extra Silos Plan Delayed For 1947 48 Harvest
The Minister for Agriculture Mr Gitaluom told state members that additions to Whaat Silos would not be available for the 1947 48 harvest. He cited storage limits and railway constraints and said efforts would focus on securing sufficiency to cover the harvest while delaying new silos and expansions. The matter before council included improvements to wheat facilities at Boorows and Georgia Hills stations and a deferment decision was noted.
