Boorowa Youth Club Visits Crookwell

About fifty Boorowa Catholic Youth Club members visited Crookwell on Sunday, staying with St. Mary's Club hosts. After arrival 1250 they joined a dinner, social evening, and Benediction. Talks by clergy and local officials highlighted hospitality and friendship between clubs.

Death of James Michael Tilden at Local Hospital

The death occurred last week after an operation at the district hospital. Mr James Michael Tilden born in Waggas ane later lived at Hoorowi for many years was well known in the community. Funeral arrangements will be announced in next week's issue. Further details will appear in a later issue.

Boorowa Rugby League to appoint playing coach

Boorowa Rugby League to hold special meeting next Monday night to appoint playing coach. Advertisements in the Svelnex press attracted many applicants from well known first grade players. A good attendance of committee members is requested to discuss applications and make the final decision. Attendance rule states missing more than two consecutive meetings without excuse results in automatic deletion from the Committee.

Shows Approaching Prospects Of Excellent Exhibits

Boorowa P A and H Association's annual Show is three weeks away and opens district shows for 1950. Rugby's 10th annual show is on March 31 with Rye Park three weeks after. Schedules available from secretaries. Last year's bumper season expected to yield record entries and district exhibits likely the best in years.
