Boorowa Returned Soldiers held its annual meeting with reports from secretary and treasurer detailing increased sub-branch membership, relief funds, and community projects. Officers were elected, discussion on honorariums, and monthly meeting days were set, with emphasis on improving attendance and welfare work.
Members of the Young Catholic Club met at Guild Hall with over thirty attending. President Jerence Uekek welcomed everyone as minutes were read. A plan to buy an amplifier and microphone for meetings was approved, and a Talent Quest for March 17 was laid out with local guest artists and Irish items. Debutante presentations planned for June 6 with Piccadilly Orchestra, then dancing to follow. Members urged to pay annual subscriptions to secretary Mike Malwearet Ryan.

Residents are misinformed that voting is not mandatory for the Liquor Referendum set for February 15. Electors who do not record votes may be summoned to appear and a fine is provided for noncompliance.
A South Coast and Tablelands Exhibit official, TLyn Boorowa, visited Narooma to advance planning for the Royal Show exhibit. Kelly of Bega outlined progress and supply gaps, naming Thompson in charge of the grain section for wheat, oats, barley and rye. Growers invited to submit samples, with origin details and grower names to be displayed. a quarter bushel of each variety required.
A weed report to the Yass Progress Association notes Onion Grass or Onion Grama as useless fodder for stock and a troublesome lawn weed. The meeting also discussed reviving the local golf club, forming a ground committee, and applying to Council for use of the recreation ground for a nine hole course needing substantial work to restore it.
