Le Beau a 45lb stallion arrives in Melbourne from Buenos Aires

The four year old Le Beau weighing 45 pounds and standing three hands high arrived in Melbourne by the Jervis Bay. A twin to Wee Jimmie and consigned to Mr D T Meekin the horse was foaled in Buenos Aires of normal parents and valued at £4000. Like Wee Jimmie he will wear silver shoes when leaving the Jervis Bay.

Ants Eat Correspondence At Shire Office

The Blackall Shire Council reported a severe ant infestation on the sand ridge where the Shire office stood. White ants attacked a box in a rear room and consumed all of the 1932 papers. Some councils would mind, but these ants gnawed at letters from ratepayers and writers.
